Bitten & Shy, But For You

Shards of fondness suddenly drift away, and spread across a vanishing ocean,
Cases of inseparableness soon crack, and leave behind the sole gift of delusion.
Employed and erased breezily from all ties, everything good seems to fall frozen,
And just as I dare to cripple feelings, the story begins to read the one that’s chosen…

A glance at your glinty eyes, a look straight into the Sun,
They warn it’s sheer torment, but I won’t turn away and run;
Not that I’ve never been too good at calmness or control,
But ‘cause this pain is a pleasure, now taking a soothing toll.
Lo! My stars already sigh and cry remorse for placing us together,
But I fancy my invisible scars shine and breathe in mirth forever.
The bones I own might have already crumbled into trashy sand,
But this time, I don’t wish for a road safe back to my land.

Yes, I do fear losing you too, and facing times of cruel self-denials;
But I loathe walking over my sewn heart among other series of trials.
You may choose to rip me apart, or rather take away my everything,
But stand besides me to keep me burning; you better always keep me burning…

P.S.: The more relations I have ended, the more my heart has suffered. The more it has been bandaged, the more it has opened. And today, the more it weeps, the more it bleeds, it bleeds love.
Have you ever loved and lost somebody?
